Analysts---Look at this recommendation

Analysts! I don't trust them. Look at this chart:

And these recommendations (FINVIZ):

Not pretty. Though, I would say that this chart is starting to show some promise. No position. And not a recommendation--merely an observation.

I guess we will call today's action 'a draw' LOL

Everyone was anxious to short at 1331+

But the early morning 'prop' keeps us green for the day

Daily trend is still down - Hourly Trend flattening out...

Leisa I think your right about Fed days in general being odd (== irrational)

Though often days when the FOMC occurs at the end of the month are a little more rational - as its mostly back and forth action as the funds clean up before and after the meeting.

RIMM on deck - Funny stock...
Even if they double their sales as expected - and the stock remains where it is - the P/S may still be more expensive than AAPL

I guess it isn't something Warren Buffet will be buying...

Speaking of Buffet... et al

Do we have another Buy signal again?

Buffet warning of recession.

In the Jan and Mar bottoms - 2 things happened.

One Buffet was out warning right around the bottom that the US was going into recession and things would get worse.

In Jan right at the bottom Greenspan came out and said things look bad but there is less than a 50% chance of recession - and market rallied.

In Mar Greenspan came out again right at the bottom - and said now maybe a greater than 50% chance.
Market rallied.

Just yesterday he came out and said US could be in recession.

Maybe his speeches are 'code' for BUY LOL

But then again... the market is running out of rabbits in the hat... and short squeezing rallies are getting harder to pull off (because the short sellers are getting smarter probably)

Any bounce between now and end of August could be hard fought - unless a catalyst emerges... but the seaonsals still suggest a bounce

nice

I'm still at the crossroads of inflation v. deflation. Not making any bets one way or the other other than my current positions, which are not making me happy, but at least they are small.
